Adventure loving and charismatic, Marisa is an edgy actress specializing in comedy. She's got dimples for days and loves a role with some meaty sarcasm, but can act with a vulnerability that has made grown men cry.

Her witty word play is evident in her sometimes silly and somewhat sardonic stand-up performances and web sketches.

She is currently honing improv skills at the Groundlings, and has also trained at UCB, AMDA, and the Scott Sedita Acting Studios.

In addition to acting, Marisa works behind the camera in various positions, including camera utility, writing, and assistant directing. She is also the co-host of the Arts and Comedy podcast, "A Kick in the Arts."

Marisa currently resides in Los Angeles, but is passport ready for international film shoots (beaches and/or mountains a plus).

Q & A

You do a lot of jobs! What's your favorite?

MARISA: I love collaborating with a production team, and I love winning an audience over with stand-up, but

contributing to a project with my acting is always my #1.

Who are your influences/role models?

Robin Williams comes to mind right away- his dedication to comedy, while also carrying an

audience through his dramatic roles is unreal, and two sides of a coin I aspire to.

I definitely admire and look up to any and all alumni from UCB and Groundlings.

What would some dream jobs be?

I fantasize about an amalgamation of my skillset in creating an ensemble show. So yeah, creating/showrunning/writing/starring in a tv show worthy of Jenji Kohan is the goal.

Who would you love to work with?

I already mentioned Jenji Kohan, also Paul Feig- I'm enamored

with Feig's dedication to promoting women film makers and women as leads in comedies.

I've also wanted to act with Christian Bale since Disney's Newsies in 1992. I was like, 4?

What are some of your favorite movies?

Ahhh here we go. I've arguably seen Mean Girls more than any other movie, and reference Neverending Story more than an adult woman should. Bohemian Rhapsody was my favorite this last year, and oh man, James McAvoy in Split & Glass ?!? I'm all over the map here.

Favorite TV Shows?

Black Mirror is revolutionary. I love futuristic tech stuff. And definitely The Office,

Orange is the New Black, and High Maintenance.

What are you reading these days?

I'm currently reading a biography of Elon Musk. It's bringing out my own badassery and

give-less-fuckery more than any self-help book ever has.

What are you listening to?

Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer on loop, guilty pleasure-ing some Ariana Grande,

and Lizzo all day, every day.

Goals for 2019?

Consume less, create more.
